Microsoft has recognized the problem with the motherboards and have extended the warranty to cover many issues with the xbox. Just a reminder, when you open the case of your xbox your warranty is voided. Microsoft has had problems with the newly launched Xbox Live Video Marketplace, with users still struggling to download TV shows and movies. Not a perfect start.
Gamers with console problems should call 1-800-4MY-XBOX. If it is needing repairs it can be fixed but sometimes it can’t so a replacement Xbox 360 will have a prepaid shipping box overnighted to them. Game cd and dvd will usually require a special chip as in the case of the ps2 to run them. Might be different in Xbox but without the error messages we are only going on general assumptions.
